Report cross-country trails
In the last few years, cross-country skiing has seen a huge upward trend in popularity. In Switzerland it is above all the success of Dario Cologna which has contributed to this. Cross-country professionals and amateurs alike are all inspired by his perfect technique as well as by his friendly personality. What is particularly striking is that more and more children are becoming interested in this Nordic sport.

This demanding trail is suitable for every sporty skier. The wintery Öschiwald forest and the climb towards "Höhwald" represent real challenges.
Höh panorama trail, 14 km (classic & skating)
This route follows the varied cross-country ski trails around Kandersteg. The highlight is definitely the "Höh", situated at 1318 m above sea level. To reach this you must be in good physical condition and have a good downhill technique.
Night ski trail, 6 km (classic & skating)
The starting point of the floodlit night ski trail is the Hotel Des Alpes. It is illuminated every day from 5.30 pm - 9 pm.
"Sunnbüel" high-altitude ski trail, 3 - 8 km, (classic & skating)
Ride up the mountain with the Sunnbüel cable car. Changing rooms, personal lockers and showers are all available in the mountain station. Cross-country skiers with good downhill technique begin the trail at the mountain station. We recommend that less proficient skiers complete the first steep descent
on foot. The beautiful circular route in an Alpine environment is, depending on the snow conditions, 3 km, 5 km or 8 km long.
