Day 1
The tour starts in the lonely, beautiful Kien valley. The first hike, which takes only 2 ½ haurs takes you to Griesalp where you overnight in the dormitory of a mountain hotel..

Day 2
A steep climb up to the Bluemlisalp Hut over the Hohtuerli pass and overnight in the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC) Bluemlisalp-Hut.

Day 3
First a descent with breathtaking views to the Oeschinen Lake and then a climb up to the DoldenhornHut (SAC) for the night.

Day 4
First over a rocky mountain path to the Fisialp. Then descend to Kandersteg, a lovely, unspoiled mountain village. Here you overnight in the Hotel Alfa-Soleil which has pretty rooms with bath or shower and a Wellness-Spa. Your baggage will be waiting for you and you can pack your rucksack for the rest of the trip.

Day 5
Hike through a spectacular, glacial, mountain landscape through the Gastern valley to the Loetschen Pass which is a centuries old connection between the Bernese Oberland and the Valais.

Day 6
Along the high route of the Loetschen valley to the final outpost of the valley the Anen Hut. Overnight.

Day 7
Back to the Kandersteg and your baggage by hiking and using public transport.

Lodging is in mountain huts and guest houses which offer simply furnished dormitories and public washing facilities, no showers. Of course you can bathe in the nearby streams and lakes. Halfway through the tour you overnight in the Hotel Alfa Soleil *** in Kandersteg which, with its comfortable rooms, wellness-spa, fitness room, pool and sauna offers a welcome change to the rather spartan hut life. Breakfast, dinner and tea for the daily hike are included.
