Description |
Fairly strenuous but rewarding
bike tour through the Frutigen moutains and meadows. Follow the Kander
river from the centre of the village to the Dam. Then take the unpaved
path through woods and fields to Frutigen and then onwards to Kien.
At Kien turn to the right and make a long ascent up to 1462m on a
fairly narrow path. The route then descends to the Mitholz station
(the final piece is a narrow foot-path). The return journey to Kandersteg
can be made either along the main road which often carries heavy traffic
or by putting your bike on the bus. |
