The wonderful sourrounding area of the Lake Oeschinen, the idyllic Kiental and the Gasteretal are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Swiss Alps. In 2001 it was the first Alpine World Heritage admitted by the UNESCO.
The sites selected for the World Heritage List are of outstanding universal value. They reflect the wealth and diversity of the Earth’s cultural and natural heritage.
