This will be the 9th time that this popular race has taken place. The participants climb 720m over the route from Reichenbach in Kandersteg to Griesalp.

Over 2 days you can visit 4 to 12 stations in and around Kandersteg, using your bike or Nordic Walking sticks, and get your card stamped.

Traditional concours – horse jumping festival on the riding paddock at the station with a tent restauratnt, riders’ bar and tombola. Rider’s disco on Thursday evening and a live band will play on Friday and Saturday evening to liven up the atmosphere.

The peaceful area around the Daubensee is ful of animals and people on the last Sunday in July . 800 Sheep gather on the banks of the lake - this is the beginning of the shepherd`s festival on the Gemmi.

3rd August - 1st September 2013
This play, in the open air at Ramslauenen, with a unique mountain backdrop, is the first presentation of a drama developed by amateur actors from the region who improvise their own script.

A sermon is held each year in the Gastern valley hamlet of Selden.

17th - 18th August 2013
Climbing spectacle in Kandersteg! On the night of 17th on the 18th August 2013 will be held the reissue of the 24-hour climbing events at the Via ferata Kandersteg-Allmenalp.

17. August 2013
A walk from the top of the Allmenalp cable car, with stops at seven different tables, ending at the bottom of the Sunnbüel cable car. Each stop offers a regional delicacy and musical entertainment.

25th August 2013
This is all about the Bernese Alpine cheeses and other traditional delicacies made high up in the Alps. Completely traditional and delicious! Games, fun and traditional entertainment for young and old.

At the beginning of September traditionally the "Alpabfahrt" (cattle descent) from the Ueschinen valley takes place.
